The Bistro Manager is responsible for driving the business and profitability of the day to day operations and staffing for the Bistro operations.

  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating assigned staff. Direct all food preparation by the Bistro staff.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by monitoring costs and managing operations to remain within budget and profitable.
  • Maintain the appropriate inventory of Bistro supplies, small wares and table ware. Oversee that goods are received and stored appropriately.
  • Estimate food consumption and purchase food accordingly, select and develop recipes, standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality, establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus.
  • Manage the data within the Point Of Sales System. Monitor and enforce proper cash management.
  • Ensure that the grab and go case is always stocked and that back up for the grab and go case is made and rotated.
  • Ensure that tables are set and cleared, and customers’ orders and service are performed in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Delegate tasks to all staff so that the Bistro is maintained at the highest levels of cleanliness, orderliness, and quality at all times.
  • Manage the temperature logs and par stock lists on a daily basis.
  • Display a welcoming and outgoing attitude towards all customers.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One (1) or more years of supervisory experience.
  • One (1) or more years cooking or serving experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Serve Safe Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of local and state health and sanitation and safety codes.
  • Knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking, service and operation of kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of POS systems.
