The Brand and Marketing Director leads the Brand Marketing Team and is accountable for translating business strategy/goals into overarching national, regional, and local marketing/brand strategies and plans. This individual leads the execution of brand and marketing plans for Coterie and the Brand & Marketing Managers responsible for developing and executing brand and marketing plans for the Company’s various brands.

  • Lead the marketing strategy process and team by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition.
  • Lead the development and execution of Coterie’s annual marketing strategies/plans by geography and audience.
  • Lead Brand and Marketing Managers to develop annual marketing, brand, PR, and project plans for the Company’s various brands.
  • Lead the testing, tracking, results reporting, analyses, and recommendations process. Proposes changes to plans based on results and market indicators.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to uncover insights for developing marketing and branding strategies for existing and new products.
  • Manage and optimize day-to-day workload, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations for marketing managers.
  • Identify new opportunities to drive qualified inquiry and incremental ROI.
  • Sets parameters, goals and information needed for annual research.
  • Partners with/proposes website optimizations, development, and tests to POs.
  • Accountable for brand and campaign performance.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, retaining, developing, and evaluating assigned staff.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in marketing.
  • Proven track record in marketing and sales funnel growth.
  • Understanding of both traditional and digital channels.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing strategy creation and implementation.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience managing a team of two (2) or more people.
  • Demonstrated success making decisions that reflect deep thinking and a balance of enthusiasm, insight, judgment and discretion.
  • Experienced strategic writer with the ability to provide persuasive and clear, written and verbal direction.
  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficient.
