Responsibilities

The Divisional Engage Life Specialist is a crucial member of the Company’s Engage Life department and works to support our communities to ensure that they offer lifestyles that help residents optimize their independence and engagement in life. This individual works directly with Community Leadership and assumes the role of Engage Life Leadership in the absence of assigned staff. Additionally, this individual ensures that basic Company programs and well-being activities (where applicable) standards are maintained. 

  • Provide programmatic support to the communities including, but not limited to: program execution, staff development, and training, maintaining community partnerships, and sales recruitment and onboarding of new residents.
  • Perform tasks and coordinate with community leaders to ensure all Engage Life standards are being met.
  • Perform tasks and coordinate with Divisional Operational Leadership to ensure proper tasks are completed and up to date.
  • Ensure the community is following Engage Life calendar standards and program standards.
  • Ensure Well-Being Curriculum is being executed in programs.
  • Ensure staff understand and are trained on Engage Life Technology programs.
  • Ensure staff is trained on Quality Enhancement expectations.
  • Support community events as needed, i.e., holiday celebrations, national program events, and sales events.
  • Support collaborative efforts with Life Guidance and memory care programs.
  • Ensure that Engage Life’s budget continues to support well-being efforts in partnership with community vendors.
  • Ensure efforts meet Company’s operational and safety standards and any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that the Engage Life staff (if applicable) understand Company expectations and first impression requirements.
  • Ensure that all staff maintains the proper amount of supplies and program equipment.
  • Partner with the community team, so there is a clear understanding of how to provide high levels of customer service and how to create a safe and engaging community for residents to stay engaged and healthy.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent in gerontology, exercise science, recreational therapy, health education, physical education, behavioral health, public health, wellness coaching, fitness, or related field required.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience with older adult programming.
  • Strong technology skills including proficiency in Social Media, Apple Products, and Microsoft Office suite such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ability to learn and work within new systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift and transport up to 50 lbs. variable distances.
  • Required Travel on behalf of the Company up to 100% of the time.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
  • Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company motor vehicle policy standards and Travel Policy.
