Responsibilities

The Company has over $1B in real estate development and renovation experience in the past 15 years and built a new high-volume renovation division focused on transforming and refreshing communities to appeal to a new generation of seniors. Initially focused on a recently-acquired portfolio of 200+ communities, the Programmatic Capital Planning Initiative (PCPI) is developing a scalable, replicable program to deploy capital to these properties across the country. The Senior Real Estate Analyst will play a critical role in planning and tracking PCPI project performance as we revitalize this portfolio of assets.

 

  • Build/maintain monthly project reporting, specific to financial performance and sales KPIs (rate, occupancy, conversion percentage) for ongoing and completed projects.
  • Perform research/data gathering related to demographics, senior living, and construction markets.
  • Support budget development related to project benchmarking, Operations budget planning (relevant projects only), and five (5) year capital models.
  • Analyze and organize General Construction project bids.
  • Assist with project phasing planning.
  • Communicate relevant project information to superiors.
  • Prepare materials as needed for owner budget submissions/presentations.
  • Partner with Information Technology (IT) to develop and validate automated reporting within Company systems.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in business).
  • Three (3) to seven (7) years of financial and/or strategic analysis experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time on behalf of the Company.
  • Travel time is subject to change based on business needs.
  • Position may require driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
  • Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company motor vehicle policy standards and Travel Policy.
  • Analytical / Technical
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are a must.
  • Strong quantitative, financial analysis, and modeling (Excel) skills are a prerequisite.
  • Strong understanding of finance and real estate (seniors housing experience a plus).
  • Experience building financial/data models.
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task.
  • Ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative analysis of data.
  • Strong strategic thinking, attention to detail, time management, and execution skills.
