Responsibilities

The Valet provides exceptional service to all residents, family members, and guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner.  This individual provides valet parking services to safely and efficiently move resident and guest automobiles to a designated parking location while following Company policies and procedures. He/she completes tasks including, but not limited to, opening and closing doors for customers, assisting customers with carrying their belongings to and from their cars, and providing directions or other helpful information about the local area.

  • Valet cars for residents, guests and family members.
  • While valeting, drive vehicle to a specific spot in the valet parking lot, secure and note the space the vehicle is parked in, tag and log the vehicle, manage keys and claim tickets, and return the tag and keys to the valet key booth.
  • Greet all guests, residents and family members upon arrival, open doors, escort guests and family members, explain valet procedures and pricing, ask guests if they need directions, and perform access control responsibilities for the valet area.
  • Manage parking area, by putting up and taking down barricades, directing traffic, and more
  • Follow proper safe driving procedures and safety protocol at all times.
  • Inspect grounds, including the garage and front lobby.
  • Vacuum front entrance and lobby a few times a day.
  • Deliver packages and groceries.
  • Replenish water for common areas.
  • Put up name plates for resident parking.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities by following established Atria and state policies, procedures, trainings, and team member involvement events.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Bilingual Spanish speaking abilities preferred.
  • Able to work flexible work hours due to demands of position; work schedules will include some evenings and weekends.
  • Able to drive vehicles with both standard and automatic transmissions.
  • Able to monitor and coordinate basic car servicing, such as changing oil or tires, jumping a car, and more.
  • Position requires driving responsibilities.
  • Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Atria’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.
