The Digital Copy Manager is an accomplished writer, brand advocate, conceptual thinker, and collaborative team leader with a passion for digital storytelling. This individual is responsible for both writing and reviewing compelling content including website copy, social media content, email marketing and product/service descriptions. The Digital Copy Manager leads a team of writers to create content that connects to the intended audience in a compelling and relevant way. With a proven track record of producing content that increases engagement and drives leads, this candidate uses data-driven insights to help Atria communicate in the digital space. As a skilled writer and editor, as well as an experienced strategic thinker and presenter, he/she mentors junior team members to develop and fine-tune their skill set. 


  • Create engaging, relevant, unexpected, thoughtful, bold, and original copy, content and concepts for use in Atria’s digital channels.
  • Lead a team of digital copy professionals to support digital marketing goals.
  • Participate in strategic and creative brainstorming sessions and provide recommendations regarding copy content.
  • Use SEO best practices to generate traffic to our sites.
  • Utilize industry best practices to develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, social channels, and email marketing.
  • Review the written work of other members of the Copy team.
  • Support management with team training and systems initiatives.
  • Manage special projects, as needed.
  • Analyze content marketing metrics and make changes as needed.
  • Independently perform research to develop a range of content for multiple target audiences.
  • Ensure copy work enforces a consistent brand voice that champions Atria’s unique brands.
  • Champion and support the Agile Kanban development process used by the digital team.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, performance managing, and evaluating members of the digital copy team.
  • Manage outside copy resources, including vendors and contractors, when needed to support digital copy projects
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, SEM/PPC (Google Ads) content, email marketing and web analytics.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in written communications, preferably in an agency or client-side setting.
  • Strong collaborative and conceptual skills.
  • Proven storytelling ability, ability to create effective communication marketing, advertising copy and corporate messaging.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills.
  • Positive, generous team attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of effective information hierarchy.
  • Strong digital portfolio.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and other common word processing applications.
  • Proofreading and editing skills and experience.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively, multi-task and prioritize.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, analytical, flexible, fast paced and able to meet deadlines.
