Responsibilities

The Director, Creative (Group) leads an internal creative group in developing high quality, strategically sound creative solutions across all channels – on time and on budget. This individual is responsible for the ideation, presentation and execution of national branding campaigns, as well as the creative direction of regional/community marketing communications campaigns, both print and digital. This individual oversees the profitability and creative quality of projects, as well as the operational readiness of the creative team including designers, video, interactive and copywriters, all in fulfillment of Atria’s brand promise.

 

  • Direct the creative function so that the vision, environment, culture, team, capabilities, tools, processes, expectations, work style and other elements support the strategic goals and brand of Atria Senior Living.
  • Ensure that the creative function operates in an efficient, profitable manner and that our product is leading edge and ahead of our competition.
  • Deliver strategic communication solutions that help our communities attain their marketing and communications objectives.
  • Listen, ask, hear, prioritize and translate internal situations, marketing goals and information into strategic brand concepts, voice, messages and rationales.
  • Write and present cohesive and persuasive rationales for campaign approaches.
  • Lead the unified process of marketing/concept/design and execution.
  • Ensure the professional development and readiness of the creative team.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating assigned staff.
  • Study the creative marketplace, assessing Atria’s work stands against its competitors.
  • Ensure that internal presentations are on time, professional, engaging, persuasive and supported by a sound rationale.
  • Manage outside resources, including vendors, photographers, printers, freelancers, web and interactive sub-contractors.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and clients to lead the development of optimal marketing campaigns and strategies by brand, geography, campaign, and audience to meet established KPIs and add value with respect to strategic discussions, brand refinements, and key business decisions.
  • Manage workload, responsibilities, requirements and expectations for their creative team.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Seven (7) or more years of similar experience (Agency experience a plus).
  • Strong conceptual – and design or copywriting – background.
  • Prior leadership/management experience.
  • Demonstrated success making decisions that reflect deep thinking and a balance of enthusiasm, insight, judgment and discretion.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills, positive attitude and high level of enthusiasm and resilience.
  • Accessible digital portfolio, thorough understanding of information architecture and proven project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, subject to legal requirements.
