  • Maintain corporate overhead ledgers, which include bank account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, making appropriate journal entries to adjust balances in accordance with Company policy and GAAP.
  • Complete monthly review of all assigned ledgers that include analyzing monthly and year to date variances (actual vs. actual and budget vs. actual) on all overhead departments and regional ledgers.
  • Review all staff accountant journal entries to ensure entry is accurate and booked according to Company policy and GAAP.
  • Supervise daily work of up to two Interns.
  • Document and prepare monthly allocations of certain costs to multiple business units.
  • Prepare and distribute support center overhead actual v. budget analysis to department head.
  • Serve as Corporate Accounting department liaison for SupportCenter department heads.
  • Forecast income statement and balance sheet accounts based on historical data.
  • Continue to assess and enhance processes for efficiency and adequate internal controls.
  • Assist in interim and year-end external audit process as required.
  • Participate in or lead project teams for community acquisitions and dispositions accounting, and new process implementations.
  • Maintains knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the accounting field.
  • May perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in related field.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in the accounting field with month-end close responsibilities.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Effective Verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, subject to legal requirements.
