When you’re looking for a job, it’s about more than a paycheck. You want purpose. Support. Maybe even an employer who invests in your family’s future – not just your hours on the clock.

That’s exactly what Atria Senior Living offers.

Whether you’re just starting your career in senior living or thinking about making a change, it’s worth knowing how Atria goes above and beyond to care for its people – and their loved ones.

Just ask Sharon Olvany, a Resident Services Nurse at Atria Darien in Connecticut.

“I’ve always been drawn to working with older adults,” Sharon says. “Over the past 10 years at Atria, I’ve built so many friendships that I cherish. They’re truly a second family to me.”

And now, thanks to a special Atria program, Sharon’s daughter is one big step closer to her college dreams.

A scholarship that makes a difference

Sharon’s daughter, Kelsey Olvany, is one of six recipients of the 2025 Ronnie Boatman Scholarship. She received a $12,000 award to help fund her college education – a benefit available to children and legal dependents of Atria frontline workers.

“I’m really proud that Kelsey took the time to apply,” Sharon says. “College tuition can be a big burden, and she worked hard on her application. We’re grateful Atria recognized her in such a meaningful and supportive way. It means a lot to feel supported, so I can better support my family.”

Since its founding, the Boatman Scholarship has awarded nearly $800,000 to help Atria families pursue higher education. It’s part of Atria Cares, a nonprofit funded primarily by employees themselves – and backed by Atria – with the mission of helping fellow team members in times of need.

Real support when you need it most

Life happens – and when it does, Atria shows up for its employees.

Through Atria Cares, team members can apply for emergency financial assistance beginning on their first day. There’s no red tape. No loans. Just help when life takes an unexpected turn.

Types of support include:

  • Help after a natural disaster (like the California wildfires)
  • Emergency medical or dental bills not covered by insurance
  • Sudden accidents, illnesses or injuries
  • Past-due rent, mortgage or essential utilities
  • The unexpected death of a loved one
  • Being the victim of a crime

Atria covers all administrative costs, so every dollar donated goes directly to someone in need.
